CN Tower to be lit green and white for Eid Al-Fitr

Toronto's CN Tower will be lit green and white on Monday, May 2 to mark the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

According to CN Tower, "the lights turn on at sunset, but typically aren’t visible for 30 minutes until the sky is dark enough. For groups looking to gather to witness their organization’s lighting request live, we suggest that the best vantage points are located a short distance away from the CN Tower in nearby parks such as Roundhouse Park or HTO Park."

Eid Al-Fitr is one the two main Islamic religious festivals along with Eid Al-Adha.

During Eid days, Muslims attend a congregational prayer.  Families and friends exchange visits to express well wishes and children, wearing new clothes bought especially for Eid, enjoy going out to festivals and carnivals.
