GISC Inaugurates on the Day of Arafat, Promoting Unity and Collaboration within the Muslim Ummah

The Global Imams and Scholars Council (GISC) announces its official launch, bringing together scholars and imams from around the world. Coinciding with the auspicious Day of Arafat, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, GISC aims to address the values and concerns of the Muslim Ummah and promote unity and collaboration.

GISC encompasses renowned organizations such as:

  • The British Board of Scholars & Imams (BBSI)
  • Australian National Imams Council (ANIC)
  • Canadian Council of Imams (CCI)
  • North American Imams Fellow (NAIF)
  • United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA)
  • Jamiatul Ulemah South Africa (JUSA)
  • Ulama Council of New Zealand (UCNZ)

With a diverse membership of over 3,000 individuals, representing 15+ ethnicities and proficient in 30+ languages, GISC spans across four continents, forming a rich tapestry of unity and knowledge within the Muslim community.

The council's collective vision is to promote well-being, understanding, and collaboration among scholars and Imams worldwide. By uniting under GISC's banner, these organizations aspire to strengthen the bonds that bind the Muslim Ummah and foster greater unity and collective progress.
