Olive Tree Foundation 2016 Scholarship and Bursary Awards Deadline May 31 2016
The Olive Tree Foundation, in partnership with the Canadian Association for Muslims with Disabilities (CAM-D), MIST Toronto and the Ontario Association of Islamic Schools, is accepting applications for their annual scholarship and bursary awards; available to students entering full-time programs of study at a college or university in the upcoming academic year is here. The deadline to apply is May 31 2016.
The recipients of the Mohamed and Opheera Nasir Leadership Scholarship for $1000 will be chosen on the basis of exceptional leadership qualities and social conscience, as well as, academic achievement; and the Faisal Ali Academic Excellence Scholarship for $1000 will be awarded to a high school graduate who has excelled in academic studies.
3 bursary awards of $500 each will also be awarded.
The Women Educational bursary will be awarded to a graduating female student who excelled in school despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she faced as a Muslim woman.
The Youth Action bursary will be awarded to a student who has taken consistent action to make a positive impact on the larger community.
The Abdullah Ibn Umm Makhtum Honorary bursary will be awarded to a high school student with disability who excelled despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she or he has faced.
