# Olive Tree Foundation 2016 Scholarship and Bursary Awards Deadline May 31 2016

[The Olive Tree Foundation](http://muslimlink.ca/directory/toronto-gta/religious/local-orgs/3573-olive-tree-foundation?city=Toronto%20GTA&ref=iqra.ca), in partnership with the [Canadian Association for Muslims with Disabilities (CAM-D)](http://muslimlink.ca/directory/toronto-gta/religious/Muslim-Social-Services/673-CAMD?city=Toronto%20GTA&ref=iqra.ca), [MIST Toronto](http://muslimlink.ca/directory/toronto-gta/religious/local-orgs/3574-MIST-Toronto?city=Toronto%20GTA&ref=iqra.ca) and the Ontario Association of Islamic Schools, is accepting applications for their annual scholarship and bursary awards; available to students entering full-time programs of study at a college or university in the upcoming academic year is here. The recipients of the Mohamed and Opheera Nasir Leadership Scholarship for $1000 will be chosen on the basis of exceptional leadership qualities and social conscience, as well as, academic achievement; and the Faisal Ali Academic Excellence Scholarship for $1000 will be awarded to a high school graduate who has excelled in academic studies.

3 bursary awards of $500 each will also be awarded.

The Women Educational bursary will be awarded to a graduating female student who excelled in school despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she faced as a Muslim woman.

The Youth Action bursary will be awarded to a student who has taken consistent action to make a positive impact on the larger community.

The Abdullah Ibn Umm Makhtum Honorary bursary will be awarded to a high school student with disability who excelled despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she or he has faced.
