Faith leaders build affordable homes

(November 10, 2011) – Rabbis, Imams, Pastors  and faith communities came together once again this year on October 27, 2011 for Toronto Habitat for Humanity’s  9th Annual Faith Leaders’ Build.

The Faith communities joined forces at the 4572 Kingston Rd. site in Scarborough to help build 29 new homes.

Each participant raised a minimum of $150 that will go directly towards building more safe, decent and affordable homes in Toronto.

To date, Faith Leaders’ Build has raised over $40,000.

Rabbi Ed Elkin, Brian Elcombe and other participating leaders of faith will raise another $5,000 to go toward building more safe and affordable homes in the city.
